Switchel lemonade | refreshing & energy boosting
All-natural, refreshing drink. This switchel lemonade is rehydrating and a great an energy boost after a long hard summer day or fun on the ball field.

INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup ginger, chopped
- 1/2 cup maple syrup*
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2/3 cup lemon juice
- 6 cups water
METHOD
Yields 72 ounces
- Fill saucepan with about 6 cups (1.5 quarts) of water and add ginger. Bring water to boil and allow ginger to boil for 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let ginger steep for 20 minutes.
- In a pitcher, add maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, and lemon juice.
- Strain ginger water off into pitcher.
- Sitr and mix all ingredients together.
- It’s ready to serve warm or on ice. (Add more water to dilute if needed).
TIPS for switchel lemonade
- *Add more maple syrup if need it to be sweeter. Or you can substitute molasses for an old-fashioned taste!
- Have fun with this drink – add any flavors you desire! Raspberry, strawberry and blueberry are delicious additions.
- Enjoy this drink at room temperature or serve it on ice. Or want a kick? Add a splash of alcohol, like gin or vodka, to it.
